The Mosin Nagant 91, 91/30 long rifles and the carbines - M44, M38 and the other variations - have been battle staples since before the turn of the last century. That's quite a track record!

These enduring relics are fascinating to me and I'd guess they are to you, too. I own several. I have researched them, built them, rebuilt them, modified them. I love maximizing their potential - everything from barrels to scopes to ammo loads.

You can't really know the Mosin's potential without learning something about them - their design, their history and everything that makes them tick. That's what this site is - a chronicle of my Mosin exploration.

I'll be sharing lots of what I find here. I plan to write articles, guides and manuals for specific things, like scope mounting and replacement stocks. I'm intrigued by stuff that unleashes the beast's potential and your enjoyment.
